I was recently asked how I began making perfumes and thought I would share the story here as well.
I remember my grandmother having a collection of perfumes she had received for birthdays, Christmas, etc. She never wore them; she kept them for special occasions. The sad thing is, she never thought an occasion was "special" enough. I, on the other hand, think fragrance should be worn every day.
I took a perfume making class about ten years ago and fell in love with the idea of making my own fragrances. I still love big brand perfumes; Beautiful by Estee Lauder will always remain my "fancy" fragrance as my grandmother called it, but I love having a scent I can wear every day.
Hope you enjoyed my little story!
xoxo,
Melissa
