A Few Questions With...Stansberry Design

Today I'm featuring another one of my Instagram favorites, Natalie of Stansberry Design. I am in love with her ponchos, scarves, and wraps; I believe they are timeless pieces that belong in every woman's wardrobe. Today, Natalie shares her story and introduces us to her new home collection (I'm so excited about this!).
Does the name Stansberry Design have any special meaning?
Why yes it does! I named my business "Stansberry" in honor of my mother Doris Stansberry and Grandmother Edna Stansberry. Both women were such a great inspiration to me. My grandmother was a master seamstress who sewed nearly all of her children's clothes and constructed hundreds of quilts during her lifetime. My mother was also a seamstress and she was the one who actually taught me how to sew.
What inspired you to start your company?
The "great" recession. I owned my own clothing boutique during the mid-to-late 2000's and was forced to close my business due to the economic downturn of 2008. In hindsight, it has turned out to be one of the biggest blessings in my life. It forced me to take a step back and re-evaluate what it is I really love to do. And what I love to do is use my creativity...and then Stansberry was born.
What makes your products special?
Firstly, I strongly believe in using quality materials. And then from there, I believe in making accessories that will make busy women's lives a little more effortless and a little more chic. Whether you're accessorizing yourself or your home, I want to help make your life easier. I strive to give customers easy/yet stylish accessories that will add that extra pop to their wardrobe or home without it being a stressful decision!
Do you have a favorite product?
Right now, it's one particular pillow from my new home décor line. The pillow uses fabric featuring a flock of soaring birds in lush, black velvet set on a natural duck cloth background. It's really quite striking.
